The famous and most popular car event of the Maltese islands is back this year featuring some 1,000 cars, live stunts and a Soapbox car competition. This year’s Paqpaqli għall-Istrina is happening on the 4 October at the Malta International Airport in the Hal Farrug area, along the Lufthansa Technik hangers. It is organised by a team on behalf of The Malta Community Chest Fund together with Tonio Darmanin and the Malta Motorsport Federation.

Four hyper cars - the Ferrari LaFerrari, Maclaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder and a Koenigsegg CCR - will be on display and the attending public will have the chance to drive these world famous cars. Other attractions included the 1998 Toyota Corolla rally car driven by Carlo Sainz and the early seventies TA22 Celica rally car.

The President of Malta explained that the Malta Community Chest Fund organizes these activities because it is the only way to continue to raise funds for people to need help in various situations, including those who seek specialized care abroad.
