About the '60 400 Superamerica

The Ferrari tradition of naming their cars after the displacement of a single cylinder should have seen this called the 330, but it chose 400 instead, referring to the four-litre capacity, perhaps as the model was very much headed for the land where more is better. Aimed at the super-rich, numbers were low with just 47 built over four years. Most of these were ‘Aerodynamica’ coupés, but Pininfarina also built 11 quite exquisite and imposing cabriolets which fetch roughly 50% more than the coupé prices quoted here.
