Drive System:

If ever there was a Rolls-Royce for the masses, then the Shadow was it. It was revolutionary for the company, with unitary construction, all-round disc brakes and self-levelling suspension. The modern lines reflected contemporary car design, yet also managed to retain Rolls-Royce’s upper class air. The 6230cc V8 rose in capacity to 6750cc in 1970, and the Shadow II fell victim to rubber bumpers and a front air dam in 1977. The Silver Wraith name was used from the same year to distinguish the long wheelbase version.
