Drive System:

In Singer form, Rootes’ new medium-sized family car was christened the Vogue. Originally intended as a replacement for the Gazelle, this slightly larger car kept the family resemblance and was quite comfortably appointed inside. Powered by a 1592cc OHV engine, Rootes’ policy of constant change resulted in front disc brakes from 1962 and a flatter roof and changes to the window arrangement from 1964. A year later, the 1725cc engine from the Humber Sceptre found its way under the bonnet, meaning a generous jump in power to 85bhp.
