The recent getaway car used by the attackers of the Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris seems to be a Perla Nera black 2014 Citroen C3 VTR. The lights off the bumper are unique to the new 2014 models which is the 2nd generation of the C3. This car is available in a range of petrol or turbo charged diesel engines, the fastest being the e-HDi 90 variant. The engine is also coincidently very economic which means less trips to the petrol station which is an ideal factor for a getaway car.

One might think that for a getaway car you would need speed, but being in Paris the most important is to have something nimble to be able manoeuvre through the busy streets of the city, quiet not to give out attention, and common to be able to blend in.
