Hullabaloo surrounded the Bentley S3 of 1962-65 because of its twin headlamps. There were other, less revolutionary touches as well in the form of restyled front wings, a lower bonnet line and improved appointments inside. Mechanically some of the criticisms were answered with a higher compression V8 engine and more effective power steering. Alongside the saloons were the usual long-wheelbase version, a drophead coupé and some startling Continental creations which made intriguing use of the double light units.
