Last of the 250 GT line, the Lusso is also on many an aficionado’s list of all-time best looking Ferraris. On a chassis derived from the 250 GTO, but with the engine moved forward to improve cabin space, the Lusso has a steel shell with all the opening panels, floor and firewall in aluminium – a fact that can add to the cost and complication of restoration. The engine is the familiar three-litre V12 with three twin-choke Webers and 250bhp. Bucket seats add to the sporting feel, though still manage to be comfortable.
