Back in hte ninties Jaguar created three XJ220C race cars for competition. In order to homologate them for competition, Jaguar and TWR built six roadgoing examples codenamed the XJ220S. The XJ220S differs from a normal XJ220, by replacing all the aluminum bodywork (except the doors) with carbon fiber, adding a front splitter, rear wing and also wider side sills. Bringing the total weight down to just over 1000kg, while the twin-turbo V6 was retuned to deliver 680 horsepower.
