With Healey’s connection with Jensen now ended, the 1975 sporting estate that grew out of the Jensen-Healey convertible in 1975 was simply known as the Jensen GT. It used the same mechanicals – a 1973cc Lotus twin-cam engine mated to a Getrag five-speed gearbox – which by now was reliable. However, grafting a fixed roof onto what was basically the convertible body still failed to produce a great car, despite the extra practicality and luxurious touches such as a walnut dashboard and electric windows.
