Delivered some of the performance lacking in the 220SEb models thanks to 160bhp and then 170bhp versions of the big fuel-injected six-cylinder engine. The 300SEs also employed the self-levelling air suspension of the 300 saloons, giving them the sort of ride you would comment favourably on in a modern luxury car. With prices approaching those of Bentleys in the UK, along with a propensity for rust, there aren’t a lot about. Good ones are sought after. That air suspension can also be troublesome if neglected. Again add 50% for Cabrios.
