Rarely seen but instantly recognised, this is not just a car but a true icon, generally known simply by the name Gullwing. Behind the legend is a high quality sports coupé with a racing heritage, built over a spaceframe chassis, and with the world’s first production fuel-injected engine. The rest of the spec seems a little less impressive today: drum brakes, a four-speed gearbox, and swing-axle rear suspension. Most had steel bodies, but 29 were built in aluminium, for which you will have to double the prices given.
