The NSU/Wankel Spider, the world's first car with a Wankel engine, was presented at the 1953 International Motor Show. The roadster body was designed by Nuccio Bertone. A hardtop was available for an extra price of DM 600. Its great successes in motor sports confirmed its outstanding performance and dependability. A total of 2,386 units were sold.
