In many ways the Cerbera is a spiritual successor to the E-type Jaguar – a stunning British coupé with amazing performance. It has also confounded the sceptics by using TVRs own AJP engines and becoming their best selling car of all time. Launched with a 360bhp 4.2-litre V8, this was joined in 1998 by a 4.5 with 420bhp. A year later came the Cerbera Speed Six with, as the name suggests, a straight-six of four litres and 350bhp. The glassfibre body was based on the Chimaera, with eight inches added to the wheelbase, hence those enormous doors.
