1963 Maserati Sebring

In essence, the Sebring was a shortened 3500GT that wore a beautiful Vignale body, styled by Giovanni Michelotti. In terms of looks, the Sebring was a perfect car for its time, although the straight-six engine was beginning to look a little outclassed compared with the latest opposition from Ferrari. But this car was designed for America, and it was style and equipment that were the prime motivators in the creation of the car – so air conditioning and an automatic gearbox were on the options list. For the Sebring II, a 4-litre version of the straight-six was fitted.
