1954 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint

Unusually it was the coupé version of the Giulietta line that appeared on the market first. The floorpan would prove adaptable, as the sheer number of variations that subsequently appeared bears testimony to, but for many, this remains the most desirable of the mainstream factory cars. From the beginning of its run, the Bertone-styled coupé was treated to a range of exciting twin-cams; even the original 1290cc version packed a respectable 65bhp, and enjoyed revving away. The later Veloce and SS versions boasted outputs up to 100bhp.
