It was Europe’s first turbocharged production car, and like all the earliest cars to sport a blower, the 2002 Turbo was prodigiously powerful and suffered from massive turbo lag. But keep the revs up, and anticipate when the turbo would start spinning, and there were few saloons in the world that could keep up.
