1962 Lancia Flavia Zagato

Once again, Zagato was drafted in to create an individual looking Sport, although for the Flavia it was more outlandish than usual. The curvaceous bodywork was a long way away from the square-rigged conventionality of the Berlina, and even the Coupé looked restrained in comparison. However in lightweight form and with twin carburettors, the Sport lived up to its name, proving quick and agile on the road. However, sales weren’t good, and in the wake of the Fiat takeover of Lancia in 1969, bespoke models such as this were very much off the menu.
