1984 Toyota MR2

A shock to Japan, and the rest of the world, Toyota brought the mid-engined MR2 to the table in 1984.No Japanese car manufacturer had ever attempted to sell a mid-engined car before. The standard MR2 came with the 1.6 16-valve engine first seen in the Corolla GT, which gave it brisk performance. Sadly, the supercharged MR2 was never officially sold in Europe, but we did get the removable roof panels and improved suspension package from that model. Like most other Toyotas, the MR2 was a very reliable car – the main thing to watch out for is rust.
