The Porsche Club of Malta has been dedicated to enhancing the Porsche ownership experience on the island. The ever growing community of Porsche enthusiasts in Malta gather like minded people who enjoy meets, drives, technical assistance of their outstanding cars ranging from 911, 924, 944, Boxster, Cayman, Cayanne and now the Macan.
The Macan is Porsche's compact SUV, unveiled at the LA Auto Show in November, 2013. The Macan was three years in development under the internal nickname Cajun, for Cayenne Junior. Porsche says Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger.
The Porsche Macan has already been launched early this year and was just introduced to the Maltese public last Wednesday 14th May at the Malta National Aquarium in Qawra by the local agent, Continental Cars. The Macan proved so popular with the Maltese that this year's quota of 8 Macan's for Malta ( population, just over 400,000) is already sold out!
During this event we were able to spot a number of fine Porsche motors in the nearby parking lot.
